TGMS Limited
TGMS is one of the leading consultancy practices in the country specialising in soil and surface engineering, including drainage and construction, for the sport, amenity and cemetery sectors. We offer a comprehensive range of services to support the development of new facilities as well as the remediation of existing facilities. In order to provide our clients with a premium service, we employ some of the most highly qualified and experienced engineers and consultants available.
TGMS adopts a unique approach to conducting site investigations involving non-invasive geophysical surveys, in conjunction with accurate RTK-GPS positioning. This benefits the client in the following ways:
- Minimal site disruption compared with conventional site investigations.
- Accurate determination of variability in soil type and condition to provide the optimal design solution.
- The provision of a detailed audit trail of the investigative procedures.
- Reduced risk of unforeseen problems occurring during and/or following the project period.
Our clients include architects, constructors, developers, golf courses, local authorities, polo grounds, racecourses, schools and universities and sports clubs (cricket, football, rugby and tennis), where we aim to provide the highest level of delivery and customer support. We also work in close association with leading sporting bodies such as Sport England, The Sports Council for Wales, The Football Association, The Football Foundation and The England and Wales Cricket Board.

Recent News from TGMS Ltd
TGMS Ltd were busy this winter working on a range of Test Match venue outfields either for the club or the main contractor. Venues included Trent Bridge, The SWALEC Stadium, The County Ground at Bristol and to a lesser extent Old Trafford. These projects were difficult operationally due to very poor weather, but excellent work by the various contractors and some quick thinking at times has resulted in a range of successful projects.
The recent Ashes Test at the SWALEC Stadium show cased the ground as a whole, as vital part of which was the outfield. This performed well in respect to drainage and playability and congratulations go to the excellent groundstaff lead by Keith Exton. See picture below.
With an excellent ICC 20:20 World Cup held at Trent Bridge and a sparkling one day international held at The County Ground Bristol the outfields have performed very well indeed. Though some work remains to be completed at Bristol, TGMS Ltd can reflect on a winter of hard work paying off with some great cricket this summer.
